Anwar al-Awlaki is wanted dead or alive

The claim by Dana Priest at the Washington Post and at CBS that subsequent to the airstrike in Shabwah on 24 December "he has since been added to a shortlist of U.S. citizens specifically targeted for killing or capture by the JSOC" is correct.

Now that al-Awlaki is wanted by the USA, other al-Qa'ida members can trust him more than they could previously. AQ could well use a new anglophone propagandist; at the moment all they've got are Adam Gadahn and Omar Hammami. Meanwhile al-Awlaki would be safer in Somalia with the vicious Wahhabi Shabaab gang with whom he has at least a little affiliation, and he would then be able to communicate with his followers in the English-speaking world via the internet and via al-Jazeera.

UBL audio to al-Jazeera claims the underwear bombing attempt

The version I have is slightly over a minute long but seems to contain UBL's whole statement. It is an audio only, of poor quality; it might have been transmitted by telephone to al-Jazeera in Islamabad or elsewhere, but it was probably not UBL speaking live, but rather a recording played over the phone. The audio is undated. Bin Ladin crimes Obama for the predicament of the Gazans, but does not mention Hamas, whose members kill all their rivals including the al-Qa'ida wannabes.

Update, 24 January: UBL doesn't exactly claim the plot, but he endorses it and he promises more of the same if he doesn't get his own way re the Gaza Strip. It's odd that he would focus on Gaza at this time, and I suspect that his motive for doing so is to ingratiate himself with one of Hamas's few remaining Arabian backers, namely Abdul-Majid al-Zindani in Yemen.

Tartusi of Londonistan getting belligerent

Abu Baseer at-Tartusi, real name Abdul-Mun'im Mustafa Halima, recently posted a fatwa "authorizing" violence against the regime of Saudi Arabia. Well, more accurately, somebody had asked him for permission to commit such violence and Tartusi condemned the Saudi regime and left the call up to the reader. I don't want to give links here to Tartusi's websites, which carry serious malware, but you can find the fatwa on the English websites of the Shabaab franchise of al-Qa'ida.

At-Tartusi (a mock-tribal surname, after Tartus in Syria) is a terrorism-friendly Sunni pseudo-cleric, harboured and supported by the British government since he fled from the defeated Ikhwan uprising in Syria years ago. Tartusi especially admired the rampaging butcher who called himself Abu Mus'ab az-Zarqawi.

Tartusi as a rule writes only in Arabic, which is one of the reasons why his following in Londonistan is small. He does however have the endorsement of Abu Muhammad al-Maqdisi's people.

The jamia hafsa madrassa was for burqa-concealed female students only, and it's destruction by Pakistani forces in 2007 really got under Ayman al-Zawahiri's skin.

My righteous sisters, Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon you...
I wanted to talk with you, from quite a while, about the great happenings and decisive situations our Ummah is going through, but the circumstances intervened between me and you, bur it is high time now that I talk with my honorable sisters, however I start with our families and loved ones in our dear country, and I say to them, don’t worry for us, for we are by the grace of the Almighty in wellness and bounties from Allah Almighty, and our hearts and souls are with you, though we have
been separated by the distances.
This is how this world is, meetings and partings as we seek solace in the fact that we are on the truth and for truth are we called upon, as our Lord Almighty has said
“So do not weaken and do not grieve, and you will be superior if you are [true] believers. (Surah Aal Imran 139)”
And it might happen that we meet soon if Allah wills because the ease of Allah is close and His victory is eminent by the will of Allah.
And after the family and loved ones I direct my word to the righteous sisters in our precious Islamic Ummah, and would specify in mentioning our dear stationed sisters in the lands of Jihad in different spots of the earth, and to our mothers who have given up their sons in the way of Allah and the victory of His religion. And in spite of this, they do not tire or get bored from aiding this religion. How many husbands and sons and brothers have they given!!! and How much were they hurt in the way of Allah!!! So all of our conditions are one; Women who are stationed and in Jihad, who are hurt in the way of Allah, and gave what they had of sacrifices, but – by Allah beside who there is no God - all this has not and will not belate us even a moment from aiding our religion in spite of what we have gone through in this path from the losing of loved ones and distance from families. In spite of all this- we do not find anything except the sweetness of what we are in, accepting what Allah has honored us with, and exalted over the rest of his slaves, that He blessed us with Jihad in His way, and aiding of His religion, and raising His word high. In spite of all these trials we are in sufficiency of living, and honor and blessing from Allah almighty. So my dear and beloved sisters : Steadfastness, steadfastness on this path. For verily, no Super Power nor any international alliances will stop us, and Allah Almighty is with us, and he is our reliance and caretaker, and we will not fear any one, who ever it be, except Allah Almighty, and we are – and praise is to Allah- over what ever we face, steadfast and we seek glad tidings with the promise of Allah to us, as our Lord said “Or do you think that you will enter Paradise while such [trial] has not yet come to you as came to those who passed on before you? They were touched by poverty and hardship and were shaken until [even their] messenger and those who believed with him said,"When is the help of Allah?" Unquestionably, the help of Allah is near. (Surah Baqara 214)”
So victory is near by the will of Allah, and our Lord will not abandon, so it is either victory or either martyrdom, and each of it is sweeter than the other. And we will not relax in the service of our religion for it is the most precious thing we posses.
I ask Allah for us and for our sisters in the different spots of earth – and specially in the lands of Stationing, like Palestine and Iraq and Chechnya and Afghanistan and Somalia- patience and steadfastness till death, for it is either victory or martyrdom. “And Allah is predominant over His affair, but most of the people do not know. (Surah Yusuf 21)”
And I remind my self and my dear Muslim sisters of the (Women)Companions – the Mujahidaat and Migrants and Believers, for they are the best of ideals for us, and through them we are guided and by them we feel solace. For how many are the lessons and how many are the wisdom in their pure life stories. They did not ever tire or falter from the service of our religion, so we –Allah willing – are on their path. And the greatest ideal for us is Sayyidah Khadijah (May Allah be pleased with her). She supported the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) immensly in fulfilling his daawah. And she used to say to him ‘Never! By Allah, Allah will never disgrace you. You keep good relations with your Kith and kin, serve your guests generously, help the poor and the destitute and assist the deserving calamity-afilicted ones.’
And similarly Sayyidah Safiyyah –May Allah be pleased with her- she was from the bravest of women. When a Jew passed by the fort, he started patrolling around the fort and the Muslims were in the throats of their enemies. She came down and killed the Jew with a pole. She was not scared and she did not falter. So she was braver than many men of today.
And similarly Sayyidah Umm Ammarah (May Allah be pleased with her) she was injured in Uhud twelve times while defending the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and she lost her hand on the day of Yamamah, leaving out which, she was injured on the day of Yamamah 11 times.
So these are the ones whom we follow, in supporting our Husbands on the right, in bravery and in footsteps and we do not fear any one except Allah Almighty.

My second letter is to my Imprisoned Muslim sisters in the prisons of the Tyrants
I say to them: You are in our hearts, and we will not forget you ever, and Allah willing we will not leave any effort to release you from imprisonment, for you are our honor and we are your sisters, and we never forget you. And Allah knows that we always pray to Allah to protect you from every evil and harm and hasten your release.
My third letter is to the common Muslim women in the world Firstly I call them to adhere with all the rules of Islam, for in it is the happiness of the world and the victory in the here after, specially adherence with Hijab, for it is the title of the Muslim woman who is obedient to her Lord, obedient to His orders. And in leaving it there is obedience to Satan, and as you know O Muslim sisters, the campaign against the Hijab is from the fiercest wars between Islam and Kufr, for these criminal Kuffars want the woman yo get rid of her religion, and the first thing that the woman leaves is her; outfit and cover, for if the woman left her outfit and cover, it is followed by leaving the rest of her religion.
So the Muslim women should take care of this well, and as you know O Muslim sister that the West does not want you except as a commodity to trade with, and to erase with you the poles of Islam, for Hijab is for the Muslim woman the first pole from the pillars of Islam, as in it is your sanctity and your purity and cover.
And the Western world does not want you to be adherent with hijab for the adherence of the woman to Hijab depicts their lowness and the cheapness of their manners and their social habitat.
The Kafir West trades with women, and considers woman a cheap commodity, for she is for them neither inviolable nor respected but she is for them a source from the sources of trade of evil and shamelessness, and refuge is with Allah from all this.
But the Muslim veiled woman is inviolable and respected in her house and outside and she is the precious jewel, and the expensive pearl. And as our Lord Almighty has said “O Prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to bring down over themselves [part] of their outer garments. That is more suitable that they will be known and not be abused. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful. (Surah Al Ahzaab 59)”. This is the saying of Allah the Almighty to his prophet peace be upon him to address with it his wives and daughters and the women of Muslims.
Therefore, we should, me dear sisters, adhere to the Shari Hijab, for that is better for us in the world and hereafter Secondly, I advice my Muslim sisters to raise their sons on the obedience of Allah the Almighty and the love of Jihad in His way, and persuade their brothers and husbands and sons to defend the lands of Muslims and their wealth, and to retrieve them from the occupiers, who have violated the lands of Muslims, and looted its riches, and to awaken the Ummah to acquit itself from those who want to collaborate with the enemies and give up the lands of Muslims And I also advice them to help the Mujahideen with prayers and money, and to help the families of the injured and the prisoners with money and donations to their children and women, for they are in the greatest of need for support to face the difficulties of life.
And I remind my sisters with the saying of Prophet (peace and blessing upon him) : “Fasting is protection and Sadaqah extinguishes the sins like water extinguishes fire” (Reported by Tirmidhi, and he classified it as Hasan Saheeh) And I also remind them with the saying of Prophet (peace and blessing upon him) : “O the gathering of women, give alms for I have seen you as the majority of the inhabitants of Hell fire” (Reported by Bukhari)
And I assure my Muslim sisters everywhere of the role of the Muslim woman in the Islamic world, for women are the siblings of men, so the Muslim women should work beside men to defend her religion and land. Thus she should defend with herself and if she cannot then with her money and if she cannot then by calling in the way of her religion by inviting her Muslim sisters in the Masjids, schools, institutes and houses, and if she is incapable of that then through the internet, she should write her Daawah and spread it and spread the call of the Mujahideen and it will reach by the will of Allah and she will find heedful ears and hearts. So I hope from you my dear sister that you do not tire or get bored , from aiding our religion in any way possible.
And by the way, many questions have been raised concerning the role of the Muslim women in the current Jihad, and I say, and from Allah is guidance: Jihad is Fard Ayn on every Muslim man and woman, but the way of fighting is not easy for Muslim women for it requires a Mahram, as the woman should have a Mahram with her in her going and coming, but we should aid our religion in several ways, and should keep our selves in the service of the Mujahideen, and we should fulfill whatever they ask of us, may it be through monetary aid to them or any service or information or suggestion or participation in fighting or even through a martyrdom operation, How many sisters have performed martyrdom operations in Palestine and Iraq and Chechnya, and vexed the enemy, and caused them a great defeat!!! We ask Allah to accept them and make us follow them in goodness.
But our basic role in which we hope Allah to accept from us, is to protect the Mujahideen in their children and houses and secrets, and to help them by giving good upbringing to their children. Your Migrant sisters- and to Allah is all praise and thanks- are doing a great work in this field, and are practicing great patience and steadfastness and bravery and abstinence from the world and love of the Hereafter and working for it, in spite of what they are facing of hardship in living, and losing of their husbands and children and fathers, and lack of stability, to the point that some of them have been put to trial through captivity, but your migrant sisters are patient and seeking the pleasure of Allah, and to Allah is all praise and thanks.
At the end of my statement I would like to remind my sisters that our end and sustenance are written with Allah, and Jihad does not bring hasten ones death, nor does it decrease sustenance, and that Jihad today has become Fard Ayn, as the foreign Kafir enemy has occupied the lands of Muslims and the three sacred sites are under its control and occupation and also the apostate puppet rulers have taken control over the Muslims, and the scholars have consensus on the necessity of the removal of the apostate.
And as the martyr of Islam –as we hold him – the Sheikh Abd Allah Azzam –May Allah have mercy on him said– Jihad has become Fard Ayn on the Ummah since the fall of Andalus. As the commanders of the Mujahideen call the Ummah to leave to the battlefields of Jihad, we should , my dear sisters, not abstain from this religious obligation and we should persuade others to it.
And I give you glad tidings that Jihad is in victory and development, and the Western media in spite of its acceptance of the losses of the Crusades and the Jews in many fields of Jihad, does not transfer except a part of the truth, and hides most of it. So you should take by the Media of the Mujahideen, that transfers the reality from the battlefield, and depicts the fake of the Western media. And here, we stand in front of you as a living example of the incapability of the Crusaders, for after 8 years from the starting of the Crusades we are still – by the grace of Allah - carrying out Jihad from Chechnya to the Islamic Algeria, so have faith in the victory of Allah, who says in his Book “Those who believe fight in the cause of Allah, and those who disbelieve fight in the cause of Taghut. So fight against the allies of Satan. Indeed, the plot of Satan has ever been weak. (Surah An Nisa’a 76)”

Anwar al-Awlaki still unaccounted for

After years of nursing the self-pity and grandiosity of his anglophone gutter audience, Anwar al-Awlaki's career took an abrupt turn on 24 December 2009 when an airstrike was delivered to his al-Qa'ida friends in spite of the chance of killing al-Awlaki in the process. The "martyrdom" that he encourages other Islamists to pursue, he himself nearly received and is now in line for, assuming that he is still alive. If I understand that cult leader, and I think I do, he will be deeply shocked -- shocked into silence, temporarily, and shocked into hiding, possibly at Eman University in Sana'a (a cult compound run by terrorism financier and gun-runner Abdul-Majid az-Zindani).

At present the facts available about al-Awlaki are mostly negative ones. No terrorist cleric or terrorist financier, nor any of the Londonistani al-Qa'ida people, has jumped up to protest the Shabwah raid and make dire imprecations about a forthcoming AQ response. The raid in Shabwah is getting relative little enemy discussion and no reliable reporting in the internet forums, presumably because (1) it was a disaster for al-Qa'ida, and (2) not many enemy in that location lived to tell about what happened, and those who did are on the run.

If al-Awlaki was privy to the Christmas Day airliner plot, then he must be in a state of consternation to know Abdulmutallab is still alive and in American custody. That wasn't in the script. Al-Awlaki wants all his followers dead, not only because he never saw a corpse he didn't love, but also because dead terrorists tell no tales.

Update: CNN is now looking at Eman University and Zindani.

If al-Awlaki reaches the safety of Zindani's bizarre "university", he will be able to communicate on the internet. If he does so communicate, then his words may well be shaped to ingratiate himself with Zindani. Specifically, if al-Awlaki goes out of his way to make excuses for Hamas, then it can be taken as evidence that he is in Eman U. That is because, although Hamas has been in al-Qa'ida's bad books since August 2009 when they killed off the AQ startup group called Jund Ansar Allah, Hamas still has the firm support of Zindani's money and his weapons-smuggling apparatus.

Don't go the website of Eman University unless you have reliable security software running.

وندعو كل مسلم غيور على دينه وعقيدته أن يقوم بإخراج المشركين من جزيرة العرب، وذلك بقتل كل صليبي يعمل في السفارات أو غيرها، وأعلنوها حرباً شاملة على كل صليبي في جزيرة محمد صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم في البر والبحر والجو.

وندعو كل جندي يعمل في الجيوش الصليبية والحكومات العميلة أن يتوب إلى الله ويحذوا حذوَ الأخ البطل المجاهد نضال حسن، ويقوم بقتل كل صليبي بكل وسائل القتل المتاحة له نصرة لدين الله وإعلاء لكلمته في الأرض.

ومن هنا نقول للشعب الأمريكي بما أنكم تدعمون قادتكم وتقفون خلفهم في قتل نساءنا وأطفالنا، فابشروا بما يسوؤكم فقد جئناكم بالذبح وأعددنا لكم رجالاً يحبون الموت كما تحبون الحياة، وبإذن الله سنأتيكم بما لا قِبل لكم به، فكما تقتلون تُقتلون وإن غداً لناظره قريب.

وسيعلم الذين ظلموا أي منقلب ينقلبون
اللهم ثبت الأخ المجاهد عمر الفاروق على الحق، وأنزل عليه السكينة والصبر والثبات أضعاف ما نزل به من البلاء، اللهم فرج همه ونفس كربه، واجعل له فرجاً ومخرجاً قريباً من حيث لا يحتسب، اللهم فك أسره وأسرى المسلمين في مشارق الأرض ومغاربها غير مغيرين ولا مبدلين ثابتين على الحق برحمتك يا أرحم الراحمين، اللهم انصر عبادك المجاهدين في كل مكان واهزم الشرك وأهله، وآخر دعوانا أن الحمد لله رب العالمين.

Shabwah, Yemen, 24 December 2009

The reports all agree that the target was a gathering of Al-Qa'ida in the Arabian Peninsula, and the death toll was upwards of 30. But they don't agree on much else. It is firm that Muhammad Ahmad Salih al-'Umur is dead, just one day after al-Jazeera broadcast some of his propaganda. Several other emirs or semi-emirs are probably dead, including the last two of the four members of the original shurah of the reconstituted AQAP. Those are Naser Abdul-Karim al-Wahishi and Sa'id al-Shihri.

It would excellent news if Anwar al-Awlaki was killed, but that is no certainty from where I'm sitting.

The general cloak of silence over this important development makes me suspect that additional attacks against AQAP are in preparation or under way. Al-Jazeera's terrorist forum, where AQ would be very quick to make its routine eulogies and threats of revenge, is offline, and some Yemeni private news outlets seem to be in the dark more than is usual for them. So, I figure there are not just some pieces yet to fill in to this good story, but additional good news in the offing.

Update: The al-Jazeera terrorist forum is back up, but up to this moment it contains nothing about the Shabwah affair except a rather small volume of the predictable Arab bombast.

Quilliam's report

Here it is again. The document does serve some useful purposes, which is to say, it is not just another 130 pages of the evasion, equivocation, and perversion so familiar to all observers of contemporary Islamist terrorism. A religious bias is inevitably present, but relatively light. For example, Quilliam does firmly object to the British prison system enabling and facilitating the broadcast of Muslim terrorist incitement from within what the British describe as high-security prisons. On the other hand, Quilliam rather dramatizes the British mishandling of a Palestinian psychiatric patient while not mentioning their equally inept mishandling of other psychiatric patients; indeed they quote the guy's wife in an interview she gave to "cageprisoners" -- a group whose whole purpose is to nurse the self-pity of British Muslim criminals and their sympathizers.

The report and its concluding advice about rehabilitation are not bad on the whole.

They don't mention that Abu Doha is at large. But I'll mention it.

This relatively short UBL audio appeared today. As-Sahab logo on this one, with English and German subtitles. UBL tells Europeans to get out of Afghanistan and blame everything on the United States, basically, and he threateningly reminds Europe of the Madrid and London bombings. The most recent events he mentions are from Georgia around September 2008 which, since that isn't really relevant to al-Qa'ida's program, suggests that the audio is a full year old.

This is AQ's overdue 9/11 anniversary video. It's in a sort of TV documentary format, loaded with special effects. The makers had access to a large array of TV news footage from various places.

It contains some unremarkable new speeches from Zawahiri, Abu Yahya, Mustafa Abu al-Yazid, and Gadahn.

As for its targets, Hamas is one; they eulogize the idiotic "Abu an-Noor al-Maqdisi" and his Jaish Ansar Allah people, who were massacred by Hamas in August 2009. Another target of the day is Bandar bin Sultan, Saudi defense minister, whose bribery by the British arms firms BAE was concealed by Tony Blair personally.

As in terrorist propaganda generally, lots of pieces of this AQ video are selected to incite and to nurse resentment. A frequent trick in this one is to show one person greeting another, or joking with another, or dining with another, for the purpose of spreading the viewer's hate of one of those people onto the other. For example, GWB and Blair are seen sharing a joke in front of the White House.

The video continues a recent pattern in al-Qa'ida propaganda, of calling attention to Abu Qatada, who for the time being is being kept out of circulation by his British hosts. Abu Qatada is the most senior al-Qa'ida member in the UK. AQ regards him as a cleric. One of the URL's of AQ's main online library is named for him. In the past, Abu Qatada has been AQ's go-to guy when they want religious authorization for mass murders in Europe, such as the Madrid train bombings.

Shabaab endorsing Bin Ladin

CBS News describes a recent Shabaab video in which they make obeisances to Usama Bin Ladin.


As-Sahab logo on this one. 48:33 in length. English subtitles for the voices using Arabic or Somali, and Arabic subtitles in some other portions. No Somali subtitles. It contains a variety of preexisting propaganda and TV video plus its own TV-style decorations. "An Eid present", they call it.

No doubt, one of the aims of this video is to attract sponsorship (weapons, money, travel documents, and publicity) from the same Arabs who support the other al-Qa'ida franchises, several of which they salute in this video. But there is also quite a bit of footage of young guys training. So, recruitment from outside Somalia is another motive of Shabaab's on this occasion.

The video makes no mention of the recent killing of Saleh Nabhan in Somalia, or any subsequent events.

Libyan Islamic Fighting Group and the UK

Saif al-Islam Gaddafi is the head of a pseudo-charity in Libya, called the Gaddafi Development Foundation, which says it is mediating a "reconciliation" between Tripoli and more than 1000 members of the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group who are now in Libyan prisons. After publicly recanting and foreswearing violence, they will be let out of prison. The story is being covered by two Arab newspapers in London (Ash-Sharq al-Awsat and al-Quds al-Arabi), whose reports are corroborated by one of the most senior al-Qa'ida mouthpieces in Londonistan. The UK is currently harbouring at least nine LIGF members:

Those nine are all under worldwide embargo by the UN Security Council as known affiliates of al-Qa'ida. Without a doubt, Saif al-Islam has already told Brown and company what he wants done about those guys, and they will do their best to fulfill his wishes. Specifically, my guess is that Whitehall will start to play up the reconciliation and put on a show of regarding those guys as retroactively blameless.

Faraj al-Sa'idi has been convicted and sentenced in Italy. It is possible that he is the "AF" whom the UK recently released even while they conceal his identity from their own people. The release could well be part of London's secret arrangements with Tripoli.

At least two top-rung al-Qa'ida bosses are ex-LIFG: Abu Yahya al-Libi (Hassan Qaid) and Atiya Abdur-Rahman. Those people won't approve of the UK's collaboration with the Libyan regime on behalf of BP.

An al-Qa'ida member comes in from the cold

I don't know anything about Fawwaz al-Otaibi who was wanted by KSA since February and who, some time between then and now, returned to KSA to surrender. But I'm curious about where he was immediately before he packed it in. Riyadh isn't saying. The February hotsheet, naming 83 Saudis and 2 Yemenis, says that al-Otaibi's last known location was in Iran. That could mean that he had entered Iran openly, at a border station or airport. But was he en route to some other place, such as Pakistan? If anybody knows, get in touch please.

Zawahiri's despairing "Path of Doom" video

It's about Pakistan, where the Taliban is being mowed down by Pakistani and tribal forces alike -- and even by one another, owing to the rivalry and disarray that has followed the elimination of Baitullah. Zawahiri and the other surviving Arab fugitives can do nothing about it. The 8-page English transcript can be read here. Zawahiri's desperation is evident.

"Tawhid and Jihad Group, Jerusalem"

A four-page pdf document has appeared on a serious al-Qa'ida website, claiming to announce the formation of a new Sunni outfit calling itself Jama'ah at-Tawhid wal-Jihad, Bayt al-Maqdis. Bayt al-Maqdis means Jerusalem. The other part of the name is the same as that of Zarqawi's group before it subordinated itself to Bin Ladin and renamed itself al-Qa'ida in Iraq.

UBL beating the drum over the Swat war

A rather insubstantial recent audio from Usama Bin Ladin is about the wipeout of the Taliban going on in tribal Pakistan, particularly Swat. It's the usual stuff:

-- UBL condemns Pakistani president Asif Ali Zardari for "apostasy" on the grounds that non-Muslims want to see the end of the Taliban and so does Zardari. Such charges of apostasy are a time-honored Muslim technique of inciting murder of one's rivals. UBL does not mention the total contempt in which most Pakistanis hold the Wahhabis including himself.

-- He pays homage to the fugitive "emir" Mohammed Omar, whom UBL and his backers seem to regard as the global caliph, and, as usual, UBL does not mention Ayman al-Zawahiri.

The "poet" Yusuf Abu Hilalah is a Jordanian Ikhwan member and a longstanding cheerleader for Bin Ladin.

Indeed all praise is due to Allah. We praise Him, we seek His help and we seek forgiveness in Him. We seek refuge in Allah from the evil of our souls and the evil effects of our actions. Whosoever Allah guides, there is none who can misguide him, and whosoever He misguides, none can guide him. I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and messenger. To proceed:
My brother Muslims in Pakistan, As-Salamu alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu.

I wish to speak to you about the war taking place between the Pakistan army and the Mujahidoon in the tribal areas. The Messenger of Allah () said:
« لا يؤمن أحدكم حتى يحب لأخيه ما يحب لنفسه »
“None of you will truly believe until they love for their brothers what they love for themselves.” (Al-Bukhari and Muslim)
Indeed I love for you what I love for myself, and the most I love for myself is that I am saved from Hellfire and admitted into Paradise, for indeed this is the greatest success. I ask Allah to make us from its inhabitants. This is what I love for you, and this is what I need from you.
O slaves of Allah, we are all in this world in order to be tires and tested, Ponder over the saying of Allah:
﴿ الم * أحسب الناس أن يتركوا أن يقولوا آمنا وهم لا يفتنون * ولقد فتنا الذين من قبلهم فليعلمن الله الذين صدقوا وليعلمن الكاذبين ﴾
“Alif Laam Meem. Do people think that they will be left alone because they say, ‘We believe,’ without being tested? Indeed we tested those before them, so that Allah makes it known who are the truthful and makes it known who are the liars.” (Al-Ankaboot: 1-3)

The trial and test we are facing in this present time is the wars being led by the Zionist-Christian alliance and their apostate aides against our Ummah. From them is the war being waged by America and the Zardari government against those demanding the establishment of Islam in the valley of Swat and the tribal areas. Hold yourselves to account before you are held accountable, and weigh your deeds before they are weighed.
From the favors of Allah upon us is that this test is easy and does not need much effort and explanation to understand. Easily put: are you for the establishment of the Shariah or are you from those who wages war against it, from America, Zardari and his aides? If you are with the first group, then thank Allah that He has guided you to be pleased with Islam and its defense. Continue your Jihad in His Cause. However, if you support Zardari and his soldiers, you are in great danger. If you die in this state, it would be the worst catastrophe you ever faced, for that is indeed the clearest loss. How is this not so, when Allah negated the Faith of those who are not pleased in referring to the Shariah. Listen to the saying of the Truth ():
﴿ فلا وربك لا يؤمنون حتى يحكموك فيما شجر بينهم ثم لا يجدوا في أنفسهم حرجاً مما قضيت ويسلموا تسليماً ﴾
“No, by your Lord, they will never believe until they make you judge in what they dispute, finding no grief in their hearts for what you have judged, submitting to it totally.” (Al-Nisaa: 65)
Know well that Faith in Allah () can never coexist in a person’s heart with love of the enemies of the Shariah and allying with them. If this is the case if the enemies are our own parents and children, what if they were Zardari and his army? Think about the saying of Allah ():
﴿لا تجد قوماً يؤمنون بالله واليوم الآخر يوادون من حاد الله ورسوله ولو كانوا آباءهم أو أبناءهم أو إخوانهم أو عشيرتهم أولئك كتب في قلوبهم الإيمان وأيدهم بروح منه ويدخلهم جنات تجري من تحتها لأنهار خالدين فيها رضي الله عنهم ورضوا عنه أولئك حزب الله ألا إن حزب الله هم المفلحون﴾
“You will never find a people who believe in Allah and the Lat Day loving those who oppose Allah and His Messenger, even if they were their fathers, their sons, their brothers, or their tribes. It is they who Allah has made faith dear to their hearts and strengthens them. He will admit them into gardens underneath which rivers flow, residing therein. Allah will be pleased with them and they with Him. Indeed it is they who are the party of Allah. Indeed it is the party of Allah who will be successful. ” (Al-Mujadilah: 22)
And also:
﴿ وما كان استغفار إبراهيم لأبيه إلا عن موعدة وعدها إياه فلما تبين له أنه عدو لله تبرأ منه إن إبراهيم لأواه حليم ﴾
“And the request of forgiveness of Abraham for his father was only because of a promise he had made to him. But when it became apparent to him [i.e., Abraham] that he [i.e., the father] was an enemy to Allah, he disassociated himself from him. Indeed was Abraham compassionate and patient” (Al-Tawbah: 114)

Think about the saying of the Messenger of Allah ():
« أوثق عرى الإيمان الموالاة في الله والمعاداة في الله والحب في الله والبغض في الله عز وجل »
“The strongest handhold of Faith is allying for Allah and showing enmity for Allah, and loving for Allah and hating for Allah (). (Ahmed)
O slave of Allah, safeguard yourselves and your religion, and do not let the life of this world deceive you. Beware of the grave, for indeed it is a heavy affair.
Poetry:
And indeed every person arises amongst his family,
While death is nearer than the lace of his sandal.

It is only a matter of days until we part with this world. Tomorrow we will be placed in our graves, and indeed tomorrow is near for one who sees. At that time, every single one of us will be asked in his grave, “Who is your lord? What is your religion? Who is your prophet?” The Messenger of Allah () said:
« ما من عبد يقول حين يمسي وحين يصبح رضيت بالله رباً ، وبالإسلام ديناً ، وبمحمد صلى الله عليه وسلم نبياً ، ثلاث مرات إلا كان حقاً على الله أن يرضيه »
“No slave says three time in the evening and morning, ‘I am pleased with Allah as a Lord, I am pleased with Islam as a religion, and I am pleased with Muhammad () as a prophet,’ except that it becomes his right upon Allah that He pleases him,” (Ahmed)
Whoever is not pleased with the Shariah, much worse wages war against it, Allah will not please them, and they will regret at a time when regret will bring no benefit.

Whoever is pleased with Islam as a religion, it is obligatory upon him to physically reject Zardari and his army’s war against the Shariah. If he does not have the ability, he must verbally speak against it. If he is unable to do even this, he must hate and reject it in his heart, and there is not even a mustard seed’s worth of Faith after this. The Messenger () said:
«ما من نبي بعثه الله في أمة قبلي إلا كان له من أمته حواريوون وأصحاب يأخذون بسنته ويقتدون بأمره ثم إنها تخلف من بعدهم خلوف يقولون ما لا يفعلون ويفعلون ما لا يؤمرون ، فمن جاهدهم بيده فهو مؤمن ومن جاهدهم بلسانه فهو مؤمن ومن جاهدهم بقلبه فهو مؤمن وليس وراء ذلك من الإيمان حبة خردل»
“No prophet before me was sent to a nation except that he had disciples and companions who followed his teachings and obeyed his commands. Then there came people after them who preached what they did not practice and practiced what they were not commanded. Whoever fights against them physically is a believer, whoever fights them verbally is a believer, and whoever fights them with his heart is a believer, and there is not even a mustard seed’s worth of Faith after this.” (Muslim)

O slave of Allah, what will you say to Allah tomorrow if you side with those who fight in order to prevent the establishment of the religion of Allah, those who fight for the sake of false deities and ways, aiding them with your weapons or your speech, justifying their actions, throwing the same accusations at the Mujahidoon as the leader of the White House, that they are devastators and terrorists? When you are asked, “What is your religion,” will you be able to lie? Even if so, your lie will not benefit you. If you say your religion is Islam but do not stand under its flag, instead standing under the flag of Obama and Zardari in their war against the religion, people are known and distinguished by their loyalties to their flags, so look to which flag you stand by. It is not unknown to you that Zardari is waging a war against the Shariah of Allah () in the cause of the American idol. Allah has explained that those who fight in the Cause of false deities are infidels. Funeral prayers are not to be performed over them, nor are they to be buried in Muslim graveyards. Think about the saying of Allah:
﴿ الذين آمنوا يقاتلون في سبيل الله والذين كفروا يقاتلون في سبيل الطاغوت فقاتلوا أولياء الشيطان إن كيد الشيطان كان ضعيفاً ﴾
“Those who believe fight in the Cause of Allah, and those who disbelieve fight in the Cause of Taghoot (false deities, ways, etc.). So fight the allies of Satan. Indeed the plot of Satan is indeed feeble.” (Al-Nisaa: 76)
Zardari and his army are the allies of Satan. This refutes those who rebuke, asking, “How can the Mujahidoon fight the Pakistan army?” claiming it to be a Muslim army.
What adds to this fact is that it is the Pakistan army who came to the tribal areas to fight them, aiding the cause of America and fulfilling their demands. It is not unknown that if a Muslim sides with the infidels and aids them against the Muslins, his faith is nullified and he becomes an apostate infidel. Just like there are things which nullify the ablution, there are things which nullify Faith, this being one of them. What clarifies this fact is the saying of Allah ()
﴿ يا أيها الذين امنوا لا تتخذوا اليهود والنصارى أولياء بعضهم أولياء بعض ومن يتولهم منكم فإنه منهم﴾
“O you who believe, Do not take the Jews and the Christians as allies. They are allies to each other. Whoever takes them as allies, he becomes one of them…” (Al-Ma’idah: 5)

This is the Islamic ruling. ”Whoever takes them as allies, he becomes one of them.” In another words, he had become an infidel like then. Who are the ones who have sided with Christian America and support it? Is it not Zardari, his government, and his army? What is wrong with you that you judge in this way? Those who side with the infidels are from them, and it is obligatory to fight them, even if they pray, fast and think themselves to be Muslims.
I also remind you of the fact that the Russians also used the Afghan army to fight the Mujahidoon, and today, America is doing the same. The armies and military forces of every country of the Islamic world have become tools in the hands of the enemies of the Ummah, those inside, outside or both. Thus it is impermissible to join them. This also became very clear in the last war against Gaza, The Arab military forces participated by besieging our fellow Muslims from the side of Rafah, while armies of the other bordering nations prevented the Mujahidoon from coming to the aid of their brothers in Palestine.
The Mujahidoon before fought against the Russians and the Afghan army together, for they fell under the same ruling. The scholars of Pakistan and other countries of the Islamic world gave the verdict that they must be fought, even if they prayed, fasted, and thought themselves to be Muslims, for they fought from the trenches of the infidels. Let the intelligent learn from this.

The same can be said today of the Pakistan army, for they are fighting from the same trench as America in the war against Islam. Thus, it is an obligation upon the true Muslims to fight them. Whoever claims that they are being compelled to kill Muslims, this type of compulsion is not religiously valid. Many Muslims are tricked by this claim, to the extent that Zardari’s men say that they are compelled to fight Pakistanis in the western border regions, or America will encourage India to launch a war against Pakistan.
Regretfully, some Muslims repeat this same claim without any understanding or proper thought. It is like a tyrant who threatens to kill you if you do not kill your children and brothers. Will you kill them or will you fight him? Even if we suppose that you are unable to fight him, this is a calamity that has stricken you alone. It is not permissible for you to take the life of an innocent soul in order to save your own. This is the Islamic ruling in this case. As for propagating this claim of compulsion and being tricked into believing it, it will result in allowing the apostate ruler to destroy the religion of Allah () and exchange it with that of his own desires and those who he fights for. This is in total opposition to the message of Allah and his messengers, may peace and blessings be upon them all, as well as the commandment of Allah that the whole religion be for Allah alone.
O slave of Allah, be careful that you are not from those about whom Allah said,
﴿ ومن الناس من يقول أمنا بالله فإذا أوذي في الله جعل فتنة الناس كعذاب الله ولئن جاء نصر من ربك ليقولن إنا كنا معكم أوليس الله بأعلم بما في صدور العالمين * وليعلمن الله الذين آمنوا وليعلمن المنافقين ﴾
“And there are some people who say, ‘We believe in Allah,’ but when they are harmed in the Cause of Allah, they consider the trial of people like the punishment of Allah. If some help came from Allah, they say, ‘Indeed we were with you.’ Is not Allah more knowing of what is in the chests of all that exists? Indeed Allah will make it known who it is who truly believes and who it is who are the hypocrites.” (Al-Ankaboot: 10-11)

Be careful from being pleased with Zardari and Yousuf Riza, for they are both outside the fold of the religion of Muhammad (), and fight it. It is obligatory upon you to reject all those who support them, even if it be with their speech, especially the evil scholars and the evil media, those who just yesterday gave cover to the former agent (Musharraf) for committing the great atrocity of attacking the Red Mosque, killing both its male and female students, holding spite for nothing other than the fact that they called for the establishment of Allah’s Shariah, spilling their innocent blood, this is how we reckon and Allah is the final Reckoner, over the places of bowing and prostration, all to please America who in turn praised him for this, may Allah punish him as he deserves.
Today, some evil scholars are playing the same despicable role as before, aiding the new agent (Zardari). No Muslim doubts in their disbelief and hypocrisy. They sacrifice Islam and the Mujahidoon to safeguard their own selves and wealth. The likes of these people must be physically prevented from siding with the apostates.

In summary, Asif Zardari and Ashfaq Kiyani have continued to divert the army from its first priority, which is protecting Islam, its followers and its lands, and instead use it to wage a war against Islam and those who demand its implementation. They have directed it to murder and wage war against the Pashtun and Balochi tribes. Most of the Pakistan people are against this unjust war. Zardari only did this to fulfill the demands of his bribers in the White House, not with ten percent, but many times more. Indeed this is a great betrayal of the trust, for he has betrayed the religion and the Ummah. Not only has he devastated the Pakistani economy in this war, he has done something much more dangerous. With this war, he has placed the religion, security, and unity of Pakistan in jeopardy, implementing a Zionist-American-Jewish conspiracy, making it easy for India to suppress the disunited provinces of Pakistan one by one and take control of them, as they did with East Pakistan before or even worse. With this, America will be relieved of their worry over Pakistan’s nuclear weapons, even more it will have India participate with them in their war against the Mujahidoon.
It is obligatory upon all Muslims in Pakistan to work together against Zardari and his army who threaten their religion, security, unity and economy, and to continue their struggle to remove him and hold him to account. Despite the great harm cause to Pakistan by Pervaiz, the harm which will result from Zardari’s actions is far worse. The only way to end his and his army’s trial is to wage Jihad in the Cause of Allah against them. This is explained in by the saying of Allah:
﴿ وقاتلوهم حتى لا تكون فتنة ويكون الدين كله لله ﴾

“And fight them until there is no more fitnah (kufr and shirk), and all religion (worship) becomes for Allah alone.” (Al-Anfal: 39)
You must understand that the army that has the audacity to fight to prevent the establishment of the Islamic Shariah is an apostate army which has no good in it. If it pays no importance to the matter of the Islamic Shariah, a matter which is most important to us, it will pay even less importance to lesser things, such as our blood, honor, land and wealth. None can depend upon it except the ignorant and the hypocrites. It has not recovered Kashmir, and now it is allowing Pakistan itself to fall from its hands, The only ones who will defend Pakistan are its fellow Mujahidoon, Allah willing.

Before concluding, I would like to direct some words to America, but due to time constraints, I will only summarize some issues related to the topic, delaying the rest for a future message, Allah willing.
Let those wise and just in the various research centers, study groups etc, understand what I say about the reasons so many people are eager to fight America and seek revenge, although these words may fall upon deaf ears of the agents of the conglomerates in the White House.
I say: indeed the liberated souls who carried out the attacks on 9/11 did not taste the bitterness of suppression and expulsion from their homes and lands, seeking shelter in tents, begging for food. Rather, those nineteen individuals only heard of the oppression their brothers in Palestine faced by American weapons in the hands of the Zionists. Thus, they left their schools and universities at the first opportunity they had to defend the oppressed in Palestine. What if they had tasted their calamities and woes? Obama ordering Zardari and his army to prevent the people of Swat from the implementation of the Shariah by murder, war, bombardment and devastation has led to the emigration of almost a million Muslims from the elderly, women and children from their villages and homes, now homeless, seeking shelter under tents, when they previously lived honorably in their homes.
Simply speaking, Obama and his administration have sowed new seeds of hatred for America and the desire to seek revenge. The number of seeds equals the number of afflicted and homeless in the Swat valley and the tribal regions of North and South Waziristan, in addition to the number of those who sympathize with them. With this, Obama has followed the footsteps of his predecessor in increasing the spite of the Muslims and the number of those who fight America, and creating new lengthy wars. So let the American people continue to reap the fruits of the trees planted by the leaders of the White House in the years and decades to come.
In conclusion, I recite the following motivational lines by the poet Yousuf Abu Hilalah, to encourage myself and my brothers. I dedicate it to each and every Mujahid in the Muslim Ummah, especially to the heroic Muhahidoon in Afghanistan and Pakistan, especially to the Muhajid Pashtun tribes, and especially to the Commander of the Believers, Mullah Muhammad Umar, may Allah grant him victory, for it is they who are bearing the brunt of the war in Afghanistan and Pakistan, in lieu of the Ummah, against the international forces of infidelity. I ask Allah () to keep them steadfast, to guide their aim, to accept their martyrs, to heal their injured, to send them His Help, to defeat their enemies, and to give them better than what they lost in this world and the next. Indeed He is the one who is Able to grant this.
I advise myself and my brothers to be wary of the punishment of Allah in private and in public, and I say to them: be patient, and vie with your enemies in patience, for indeed you are upon the truth. Either we will live under the shade of Islam, or we shall die a noble death. Be firm, may Allah have mercy on you, and prepare yourselves for a lengthy war against the forces of international infidelity and its agents, despite the difficulty of the path and the few numbers of helpers. Be careful that the Muslims are not harmed because of you, for:

You have raised the highest flag for the religion of Allah
Your motto is Tawheed and Allahu Akbar
You cross an ocean of death, without fear
Those who do not fear death do not fear anything
Your path is difficult and dangerous to follow
There are many sacrifices and obstacles in it
Your way is the way to one of the two victories
Your way is the way of victory and strengthening help
Or death in the Cause of the religion, honor and protection
Whoever dies in achieving loftiness is indeed excused.
I encourage my whole Muslim Ummah to stand by the Mujahidoon and help them all over the world, taking note that the leader of international forces of infidelity has announced that the main battlefield in the war against our nation has shifted to Afghanistan and Pakistan. Thus, the share of Zakah and support in this region must be in accordance to the size of the Christian Crusade against it.
Finally, I leave you with the words of Abu Hilalah:

I have rejected all who censure
and have digressed from the path of Guidance.
Those who have not achieved in life
except for sleep and laziness.
Those who sit in their gatherings
while the fire of war flares around them
Those who think they have reached their goal
despite them being lost in the path.
I honor those who have passed,
those who did not ask about the difficulties.
Those who did not turn back from their destination,
despite the turbulence of the path.
Those whose blood gave light
to the darkness of confusion.
O colt who gallops well,
who does not feel fatigue
The boat of honor which sails on
despite the severe waves.
The sword like the light of lightning
which shines when drawn from its sheath
The storm which stirs
wreaking havoc across the land.
You remained a Muhajid with those
who examples are honored to be with
The children of Afghan do not swerve
if fighting starts or if they are unarmed
They grew up in remorse and grief
and grew elderly on its burning fire
Their clothes were grief
never taking them off
There is their land
marked with the sparks of galloping horses
And underneath the thunder of bombardment
they are set afire
There are the skulls of children
being pulverized while they call out
The defiant are not humiliated with them
Nor do they ever fail
The head of the masses remain high
continuing to spend efforts
There are some who say to them
Your Jihad is not correct
Refuge is sought in Allah, this is a lie
in which none cam doubt
O you who have stayed behind from my Ummah, slowly
You do not see things properly,
The only reason you say this
is because your motivation is paralyzed.
O you whose intellect has deviated
from the teachings of the Messengers
Those whose judgments have deviated
from the fear of Allah, and they have not acted justly
The fires of Shirk are not put out
except the spilling of blood

And the last of our prayers is that all praise is due to Allah, the Lord of all that exists.

اعتادت وزارة الداخلية الكذب والافتراء وأدمنت عليه وجعلته وسيلة لتبرير فشلها وشماعة لإخفاقها ، فهي كل يوم تعلن أنها قبضت على فلان أو سلم نفسه فلان لإشاعة الأراجيف والتخذيل بين الناس بحثا عن انتصارات موهومة .
وفي حقيقة الأمر أنها لم تستطع الوصول لأحد من المجاهدين المطلوبين فعمدت إلى الكذب والتلفيق لتضمن ما يمن به عليها المانحون والداعمون من الكفار الأصليين أو عملائهم المرتدين من حكام آل سعود وغيرهم .
طمعا منها في استمرار الدعم كلما ازدادت في الادعاء الكاذب أنها قد نجحت في القبض على أحد المجاهدين أو مطاردته .
ومن مقاصد وزارة الداخلية تثبيط الناس عن الجهاد والمجاهدين بادعائها أنها متيقظة وقادرة على ملاحقة المجاهدين وقد خبرناها خلال السنوات الماضية بهذا الأسلوب الكاذب الفاشل ومما زاد الطين بلة مسارعة أبواقها من الفضائيات إلى نشر تلك الأكاذيب والأراجيف حتى صار لا يدرى من افترى الكذب أولا أهي وزارة الداخلية أم أبواقها الفضائية والتي أضحت تعلن الخبر قبل أن تعلم وزارة الداخلية عن تلك الكذبة والتي يبدوا أن مصدرها إنما هو أوهام الفضائية أو اختلاقها الكذب لعلمنا المسبق حربها للدين وحقدها على الجهاد والمجاهدين .
وعليه فما تداولته وسائل الإعلام مؤخرا من إلقاء القبض على عشرة مجاهدين من خلية قاسم الريمي في شبوة ما هو إلا محض افتراء وكذب .
وحقيقة ما حصل هو الهجوم على بعض قبائل شبوة بالطائرات والدبابات ومن ثم إلقاء القبض على ستة من أبناء القبائل المعتدى عليها بحثا عن انتصارات موهومة .
ونبشركم أن من زعمتم القبض عليهم أنهم قادمون إليكم بإذن الله يحملون الموت وهم من سيقبض أرواحكم فخذوا حذركم فقد انضم إلى كتيبة الأهوال عشرات الاستشهاديين وهم الشجعان حقا أتوكم بما لا تحتسبون ولا قبل لكم به فالحقيقة ما ترون لا ما تفترون.

It is a contradiction of a recent claim by Riyadh about the arrest of some AQ members in Saudi Arabia.

And recently Abu Sufyan put out an audio full of dire emprecations against Saudi Arabia.



The press talked mostly about Abu Sufyan's endorsement of the purely mercenary Somali pirates, which I agree was pretty suprising.

This guy and his tiny group of allies are surely in Yemen.
